Job summary

Fccinc seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our full-time team at the Corporate HQ in Kennett, MO. You will collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver client care and support the psychiatrist's daily activities.

The role requires an RN license with experience in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing. You will perform vital signs, medication management, and various authorizations and communications to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• Psychiatric/Behavioral Health nursing and healthcare technology experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic nursing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Take patient vital signs and monitor condition as directed.
• Manage medications and assist prescribers with coordination.
• Complete prior authorizations for Medicare/Medicaid/insurances.
• Answer calls/voicemail about medications and report adverse reactions.
• Communicate via emails regarding medications to the prescriber.
• Handle requests for records and discharge summaries as needed.
• Perform metabolic screenings for patients.
• Administer TB testing for staff.
• Maintain medication lists and process refill requests.
• Perform necessary screenings per prescriber requests.
• Collect blood/urine samples as requested and follow up on results.
• Call in prescriptions and refills as directed by prescriber.
• Provide weekly inventory updates and quarterly reports.

Job Purpose

• Take person(s)-served vital signs.
• Manage Patient Assistance for all medications for the Prescribers.
• Complete prior authorizations for Medicare/Medicaid/insurances for the Prescribers.
• Answer phone calls/voice mail(s) regarding medications and notify Prescriber of adverse reactions.
• Actively responds to emails regarding medications for person(s) served.
• Handle request for records/discharge summaries as requested by Prescriber.
• Perform metabolic screenings for person(s) served.
• Administer Tuberculosis (TB) testing for staff.
• Maintain medication list for new person(s) served.
• Actively work refill request from pharmacy(s).
• Perform screenings per Prescriber's request.
• Perform blood/urine collection(s) as requested by Prescriber(s).
• Request lab results and follow up with reported results.
• Call in prescriptions and refill medications as needed and directed by the Prescriber.
• Weekly updates on sample medication inventory and storage as well as quarterly inventory report.
• Maintain sample medication orders.
• Maintain list of discharged person(s) served and medication refills provided.
• Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
• Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
