Salary: $2471.66 (Semi Monthly)

Job Location: Center for Behavioral Medicine (CBM) 1000 E. 24th Street, KCMO 64108. PRN and Full Time Positions Available. This is a Joint Commission Accredited behavioral health facility.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide nursing services for a 25 bed forensic inpatient unit.
  • Assigns, supervises, and evaluates the work of other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, direct care, and/or other staff in the care and treatment of clients on a unit or comparable living area.
  • Serve as a nursing team leader responsible for defining and implementing the nursing care plan for assigned clients and for supervision of nursing team members.
  • Complete nursing assessments and develop nursing diagnoses and care plans.
  • Participate in developing individualized treatment plans as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Train and evaluate nursing staff, direct care staff, and nursing students.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician; conduct rounds with and informs physicians of client status, and receives instruction for further care and treatment.
  • Performs assigned duties independently according to instructions and established nursing standards and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications

All you need for success:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university; and One or more years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university; and Two or more years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • An Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university or a Diploma in Nursing; and Three or more years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have a valid Missouri nursing license.
  • Prior supervisory and psychiatric nursing experience
  • Proven Leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, staff, supervisors, and the general public.
