Job summary

Pavilion Management Company is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Jamestown Place Health and Rehab in Jamestown, OH. The role may be filled as Full-Time or Part-Time. Salary is negotiable, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to lead nursing staff.

The RN will oversee day-to-day nursing activities, supervise LPNs/LVNs and CNAs, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering compassionate, outcome-oriented care.

Qualifications

• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day nursing activities of LPN/LVN and CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by nursing staff.
• Participates in admissions, discharges and transfers as required.
• Assess changes in residents’ status and notify physician and family; document accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders and carries them out as written.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered and observe for adverse effects.
• Perform wound treatments and document changes.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and transportation as needed.
• Provide nursing leadership to unit staff.
• Provide direct care skills (colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, etc.) as assigned.
• Perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff perform duties.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to holistically meet resident needs.
• Participate in management team meetings to discuss census/status changes or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) may provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the licensed practical/ vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.

• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.

• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.

• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.

• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.

• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

• Prepares and administers medications as per physicians’ orders and observes for adverse effects as indicated.

• Performs wound treatments as per physicians’ orders, observes for changes and documents accordingly as indicated.

• Schedules follow up appointments for residents and transportation needs as indicated.

• Provides nursing leadership to nursing personnel assigned to the unit.

• Provides direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, etc. in accordance with current policies and procedures, as assigned.

• Performs rounds to ensure resident needs are being met and personnel are performing their assigned duties.

• Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team as needed to ensure residents’ needs are holistically met.

• Participates in management team meetings as indicated to discuss census changes, resident changes in status or care need, or complaints or concerns.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
