Job summary

Newport Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse to provide on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents and/or young adults in our treatment program. You will perform health screenings, administer medications, and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted RN license in the state of application, with residential nursing experience preferred. A compassionate, patient-first approach and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state where you are applying.
• Residential nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to make good decisions based on analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Complete client health screenings and provide direct care and nursing services as needed.
• Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents during on-site hours and relay to NP/MD.
• Serve as part of multidisciplinary treatment teams for patients.
• Administer medications and order refills.
• Comply with policies and procedures (OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and local, state, and federal regulations).

What You'll Do

Registered Nurses at Newport Healthcare provide on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents and/or young adults in our treatment. Key responsibilities include:

• Completing client health screenings and providing direct care and nursing services as needed, including monitoring any chronic health conditions
• Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents during on-site hours and relaying information to the appropriate NP/MD
• Serving as a vital part of your patients' multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Administering medications and ordering medication refills
• Complying with all policies and procedures, e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, medical protocols, infection control, and local, state, and federal regulations
