Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time and part-time positions in Virginia. Evening or night shifts are available with shift differentials and daily pay options. A $3/hr boost is offered for those waiving benefits (FT only) along with an employee referral bonus.

Salary ranges from $37–$43/hour, all-inclusive. The RN will provide skilled clinical care, monitor resident conditions, follow care plans, and ensure documentation meets standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple residents in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable nursing standards and the physician's plan of treatment, and the written plan of care.
• Follow and implement care plans developed by the Nurse Manager.
• Perform medication administration and treatments as per the plan of care.
• Monitor and assess residents’ conditions, reporting changes to clinical team members promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with orders and policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN):

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the physician’s plan of treatment, as well as the written plan of care.
• Follow and implement care plans developed by the Nurse Manager.

• Monitor and assess residents’ conditions, promptly reporting changes to appropriate clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and nursing regulations.

Qualifications for Registered Nurse (RN):

• A current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Virginia.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple residents simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
