Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver skilled clinical care, monitor residents, and follow individualized care plans in a compassionate, resident-centered setting.

This role offers full-time or part-time opportunities, evening or night shifts, travel stipends for commuting 30 miles one way, shift differentials, daily pay, and a benefits package with tuition reimbursement and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered VA RN license.
• Valid BLS certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage multiple residents in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care per accepted nursing standards and physician's plan of treatment and written care plan.
• Follow and implement care plans developed by the Nurse Manager.
• Perform medication administration and treatments per plan of care.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to clinical team.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation per physician orders and policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Ensure infection control, safety and nursing regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN):

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the physician’s plan of treatment, as well as the written plan of care.
• Follow and implement care plans developed by the Nurse Manager.
• Perform medication administration and treatments in accordance with the plan of care (POC).
• Monitor and assess residents’ conditions, promptly reporting changes to appropriate clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and nursing regulations.

Qualifications for Registered Nurse (RN):

• A current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Virginia.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple residents simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
