Job summary

Medilodge of Gaylord is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, coordinate, and provide total nursing care for residents, while supervising clinical staff and ensuring care plans and physician orders are properly followed.

Starting wages range from $41.40 to $57.45 per hour, with daily, weekly, or bi-weekly pay options through UKG Wallet, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, tuition assistance, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatments.
• Supervise LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
• Coordinate nursing care with other departments and therapy.
• Participate in orientation and in‑service training.

Compensation?

• Starting Wages at $41.40-$57.45 per hour.
• Wage Calculation is based on experience, shift, a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive, a $2.00/hr Perfect Attendance Bonus and a $8.00/hr weekend warrior program.

Summary

The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for residents and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.

Licenses/Certification

• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.

Experience

• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Job Functions

• Initiates and leads team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assesses and documents the resident's condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
• Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident's needs and the person's capabilities and qualifications.
• Supervises, directs and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
• Administers medications, starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents, and documents that treatment as required company, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Participates in orientation and in‑service training for personnel.
• Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
• Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinates nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Interviews applicants and recommends hires. Participates in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff, to extent permitted by state practice act.
• Supervises nursing unit, which includes scheduling and directing the nursing staff to extent permitted by state practice act.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
