Job summary

Winter Garden Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing team. As a Floor Nurse, you will administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with the care team to implement personalized plans.

You will work full-time shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a) to ensure consistent, high-quality care, with opportunities for professional development and advancement within a supportive, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

  • Current, active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including medications, treatments, side effects, and infection control standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

  • Follow individual service plans and administer or supervise treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct meaningful rounds with all residents, accompany physicians during rounds, and document visits accurately.
  • Administer injections, perform in-house testing procedures, and record vital signs.
  • Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Receive and place calls to physicians, ensuring timely execution of orders.
  • Prepare, order, administer, and chart medications accurately and safely.
  • Supervise serving of prescribed diets and monitor fluid intake, reporting any unresolved issues to physicians or the Director of Nursing.
  • Complete admission assessments and discharge documentation timely and thoroughly.
  • Supervise residents who self-administer medications in accordance with guidelines.
  • Assist residents with medications reminders and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services as needed.
  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned to support resident care and facility operations.
