Job summary

Park Pharmacy seeks Registered Nurses to provide medical care at a Detroit detention center. The role offers full, part-time, and contingent positions with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends in a unique secure setting.

RNs will assess and manage acute, behavioral health, and chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians and other clinicians. A Michigan RN license and BLS are required, ACLS preferred; background check and drug screening are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license required.
• BLS certification current; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; correctional or emergency nursing preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 nursing coverage on a rotating schedule.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assess detainee medical needs each shift.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Deliver on-site emergency care, including CPR and AED use.
• Assist with detoxification protocols as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and mental health staff for continuity of care.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines, policies, and safety protocols.
• Comply with security and confidentiality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
