Job summary

The Laurels of Gahanna is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to play a key leadership role in our long-term care team. You will plan and manage nursing care, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and administer medications safely while collaborating with physicians on patient plans.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure in Ohio, CPR, and 1–3 years in long-term care. We value compassionate care, teamwork, and clear communication in a post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
• 1–3 years of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education.
• Supervise care provided by LPNs, CNAs/STNAs and other team members.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Assess health status and promptly notify physician of changes; implement new orders.
• Develop a care plan based on assessment and implement nursing care.
• Institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize conditions or prevent complications.
• Contribute to guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and care planning.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to nursing home guests.
• Supervise the care/services provided by the LPNs, CNAs/STNAs and other team members who care for guests.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to guests.
• Assess the health of guests and notify the physician of changes in status; promptly implement new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a guest’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting preferred, but not required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
• CPR certification.
