Job summary

ATC Healthcare Services seeks Registered Nurses to provide skilled nursing in hospitals and facilities nationwide. RNs will work with a team of professionals to treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities.

Qualifications include RN program completion, current license, and at least 1 year of RN experience. The role involves health screenings, medication administration, and adapting to different departments and shifts.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Current and unencumbered license in the state of practice.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Background screening as required by the state or contract.
• Drug screening as required by the contract.
• RN reads medical equipment and documents; moving equipment may be required.
• RN must be able to lift at least 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• CPR as required by client facility.

Responsibilities

• Complies with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
• Provides general care services, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assess healthcare needs of patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Perform health screenings of patients or clients.
• Respond to emergency healthcare needs of patients.
• Collect and records data on health status of patients or clients.
• Administer medications/treatments as prescribed by practitioners.
• Duties may vary by department and may change over time.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE RN POSITION:

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program of study.
• Current and unencumbered license in the state of practice.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Background screening as required by the state or contract.
• Drug screening as required by the contract.
• The RN should be able to read medical equipment and documents. Pushing carts and medical equipment may be a component of the job.
• Registered Nurses must be able to lift at least 30 pounds; walk up and down the stairs; position patients; walk long distances; andstand for prolonged periods.
• CPR as required by client facility; health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complies with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
• Provides general care services, including assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assess healthcare needs of patients through a variety of routine assessments, and develops, implements, and evaluates individualized nursing and health care plans accordingly.
• Perform health screenings of patients or clients.
• Respond to emergency healthcare needs of patients.
• Collect and records data specific to the health status of patients or clients.
• Administer medications/treatments as prescribed by medical practitioners.
• Responsibilities will vary depending on department of assignment (e.g., Emergency Room/Clinic, advisory to non-medical administrator, infection control, nurse/health education development, quality assurance, nurse anesthetist, etc.).
• Maintains confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Complies with accepted ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent nursing organization.
• Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
