Job summary

Prismhr Hire is seeking a compassionate registered nurse to provide high-quality patient support in a dynamic healthcare setting in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will deliver direct patient care, assess conditions, administer meds, and develop care plans in collaboration with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, graduated from an accredited nursing program, and demonstrates strong communication and critical thinking skills. BLS certification or timely obtainment is required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of nursing best practices, patient safety, and documentation standards.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain it within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented nursing professional to join our care team and provide high-quality patient support in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and communicate important findings to the appropriate care team members.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately within scope of practice.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care updates in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, medications, and health maintenance.
  • Support continuity of care through effective communication and coordination with other departments and providers.
  • Respond appropriately to changes in patient status and assist with urgent or emergent situations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment while following infection control and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to quality improvement efforts and ongoing teamwork within the unit or department.
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state or jurisdiction.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current knowledge of nursing best practices, patient safety, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Basic life support certification or the ability to obtain it within the required timeframe.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in acute care, long-term care, outpatient, or specialty nursing settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Additional clinical certifications relevant to the care setting.
