Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care across diverse healthcare settings. The RN will assess needs, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, ADN or BSN, and BLS/CPR certification, with ACLS preferred or required by assignment. Strong communication and EMR experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience preferred.
• Strong nursing principles, patient assessment, medication administration, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in health status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments per orders and nursing standards.
• Coordinate direct patient care ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and ongoing care planning.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Ensure infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and policy compliance.
• Participate in team meetings, quality improvement, and patient education programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly recognize and respond to changes in health status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Coordinate and deliver direct patient care while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, disease management, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and ongoing care planning
• Respond effectively to emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment
• Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient assessment, medication administration, and evidence-based clinical practices
• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
