Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks a Registered Nurse to assist physicians in patient care and teaching at the Fleming Island office, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule.

Candidates must be licensed as an RN in their state, have IV therapy experience, and demonstrate strong critical thinking and communication skills. BLS within 30 days required; vaccination and background screening are part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence, with experience in IV therapy.

• The ability to assess patient needs and condition.

• Strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

• BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).

• Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is preferred but not required.
