Job summary

Wildwood Programs is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight, direct nursing care, and advocacy for individuals with I/DD across residential and day services. The role emphasizes holistic, person-centered care and long-term health management.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, coordinate health care services, train staff, and ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and Nurse Practice Act to promote health, safety, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• RN degree from a regionally accredited college with one year of nursing experience and 2 years' experience.
• NYS license as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates health care services for individuals including direct nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Assesses medical training needs of staff and ensures staff are trained to perform ongoing medical care and treatment.
• Provides health education and training to the individuals.
• Works as part of an interdisciplinary care team to meet the needs of the individuals.
• Ensures quality standards for nursing services are in compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies and the Nurse Practices Act.
• Works with community agencies in planning services to meet needs of the individuals.
