Regional One Health in Memphis, TN, seeks an experienced Burn Program Administrator to lead daily operations of the Burn Program, coordinate ABLS training, survivor services, and outreach, and ensure alignment with ABA/ACS verification standards.

You will collaborate with the medical director, BPM, and nursing leadership to analyze policies, manage the burn registry, participate in strategic planning, and foster partnerships with EMS, community groups, and burn foundations.

Qualifications

  • ABLS - Advanced Burn Life Support within 1 Year Required
  • ACLS within 1 Year Required
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation within 1 Year Required
  • Clinical background in critical care and/or Burn Required
  • Minimum 2 years experience of leadership experience Preferred

A Brief OverviewAdministrative responsibilities include organizing services and systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approach to burn care and the leadership ability to strategically support and advance the mission of the Burn Program. Will be responsible for the daily operations of the Burn Program including assistance in engagement, burn outreach, education, coordination of burn survivor programs and services, prevention activities, management of the burn database, coordination of the burn performance improvement program and all activities related to ABA / ACS burn center verification / Mississippi designation.What you will doIn collaboration with the medical director, burn program manager (BPM), and burn nurse manger, coordinate efforts for a 4 tiered burn PI program that is designed to monitor the quality of health care delivered to patients/ families cared for on the Burn Service-Line. The distinct goal of this program is to ensure that the highest quality of care is consistently delivered to the patients at all times and by all personnel. This process is designed to identify opportunities for improvement along the continuum of care; take the initiative to identify gaps/contributing factors, and work collaboratively with stakeholders through the burn PI group, M&M conference to devise plans of action. The loop closure in selected areas includes monitoring for effectiveness over time.Collaborates with the community outreach coordinator for burn and trauma in outreach efforts by providing assistance in burn care training to partner with institutions, providers, community groups, fire departments and other EMS providers.Provide feedback to EMS agencies and referring physicians / facilities on burn patient outcomes and quality of care issues.Represent the burn program at community events and local / national meetings.Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all disciplines and departments necessary to create optimal patient outcomes and a professional practice environment.Coordinate operations of burn survivor programs, events, and services, while continuously maintaining the burn survivor database.Maintain relationships with burn foundations and facilitate patient and program assistance as needed.Partner with medical staff, rehab and burn unit nursing leadership to set goals and create initiatives that advance communication, education, improve patient safety and increase patient satisfaction.In collaboration with the burn medical director, BPM, burn rehab, and burn nursing leadership; coordinates the assessment and analyses of existing burn patient care policies, protocols, educational materials and practice management guidelines pertinent to the care of the burn patient/families.Help coordinate the burn center’s Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) training program as mandated by the American Burn Association (ABA).Participate in strategic planning for the burn center in alignment with the organizations mission.Coordinate and / or participate in new ventures that may serve to increase volume and expand relationships.Collaborate with Business Development to develop and strengthen relationships with outside organizations.Ensures under the leadership of the BPM that the burn center meets all regulatory requirements for ABA burn center verification and collaborates with the burn medical director and (BPM) to co-direct these review processes.Coordinate and maintain the burn registry by directly supervising and assisting the burn registrar to ensure accurate and timely data input and reporting.
