Mission Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Hemodialysis unit. Per Diem shifts offer flexible scheduling on a team recognized for quality and compassionate care, with a strong commitment to patient outcomes and professional development.

Candidates must hold a current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and ideally one year of acute care hemodialysis experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Texas RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 1 year and maintained.
• One year as a staff RN in an acute care hemodialysis unit preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Hemodialysis Unit.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and ensure privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse in Hemodialysis is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Hemodialysis Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient?s clinical condition including hemodynamics, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to Dialysis treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
