The MetroHealth System’s Rehabilitation Institute in Cleveland is seeking a registered nurse to join the Neuro Trauma Recovery Float Pool. You will rotate across three units, handling 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts with rotating weekends/holidays and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualifying experience.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold Ohio RN licensure, and have BLS; BSN and rehabilitation nursing certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Float across 3 units within the Physical Rehabilitation Institute.
• Provide patient care for SCI/TBI/stroke rehab patients in Neuro Trauma Recovery Float Pool.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, therapists and social workers to optimize patient recovery.
• Support wound prevention and care and rehabilitation-specific education for patient/family.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

• Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Stroke Recovery

Primary Skills Utilized/learned

• Ventilator/Trach Care
• SCI retraining (Bowel & Bladder management program)
• Wound prevention and care
• Specialty treatment and technology for regain of function
• Rehabilitation specific education for patient/family

Personnel RN Will Work With

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians

Number Of Beds On Unit

• Will float across 3 different units within our Physical Rehabilitation Institute

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing or other Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
