Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital's Rehab unit. This part-time position supports patient care across an interdisciplinary team, with a 12-hour night shift and every-other-weekend schedule.

The RN will deliver evidence-based care, perform assessments, and document care plans while upholding our mission to treat the whole person—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Licensure in PA and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in PA or compact state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to nursing standards and provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist emergent patient and document using Emergency Room nursing tools.
• Identify patient needs based on data and document accordingly.
• Implement nursing actions for patients needing care.
• Make decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Discuss care with patient/family and document outcomes.

Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM, every other weekend

Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital

Position Purpose

The RN works in a collaborative environment at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. As a Registered Nurse you will:

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and documents accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.
• Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
• Discusses with and includes patient an/or family significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.
• Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN highly preferred
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania or Compact State License
• BLS Certification
