Job summary

Morris Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide nursing care in the Cath Lab and Cardiology diagnostic areas, with potential assignment to cardiac rehabilitation. The position includes an on-call requirement with a 45-minute response time.

Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an Illinois license (biennial renewal). CPR and ACLS certification are required, plus Cath Lab/IR experience and DCFS mandated reporter certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Illinois license with biennial renewal.
• Completion of cardiac arrhythmia recognition course.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• ACLS Certification.
• Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology experience required.
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
• Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
• Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
• Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Nursing care of patients in the Cath Lab and Cardiology diagnostic areas and may assist in cardiac rehabilitation.
• Direct others in patient care in these areas.
• On-call requirement with 45 minute response time.

Job description

0700-1530, 5-6 shifts of call including 24 hours on call coverage on weekends and holidays

Salary Range: $46.79

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Staff Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of patients assigned to him/her and to direct others in patient care in the Cath Lab, Cardiology diagnostic areas, and may be assigned to assist in cardiac rehabilitation. This position requires on call with 45 minute response time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional/Educational

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Current Illinois license with biennial renewal.

Completion of cardiac arrhythmia recognition course.

Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

ACLS Certification.

• Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology experience required.

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
