Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Regional Critical Care Float Pool on the Night shift. You will float to ICU and Emergency Department, provide high-level patient care, and support education and safety across units.

Eligible candidates may earn a sign-on bonus of $10,000 and a regional float pool differential of $10/hour. Growth via a Clinical Ladder program is available based on experience and achievement.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting is preferred.
• Associate's in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
• Proficiency with EMR and pharmacy dispensing systems expected.
• Ability to assess, plan, and educate patients and families.

Registered Nurse Regional Critical Care Float Pool Full Time Nights

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000.00 For eligible candidates

• Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address identified patient needs and goals.
• Administer medications accurately and appropriately as ordered, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures, and other relevant information to ensure understanding and compliance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs.
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills).
• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Equipment use to stabilize and monitor patients (IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley, chest tubes, hemodynamics monitoring), including electronic medical record and automated dispensing medication system (pyxis).
