Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, coordinate across settings and caregivers, and use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

The qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing, Georgia RN license, BLS; ACLS, and 1+ year RN experience required, with BSN preferred. You will educate patients and families and contribute to a safe, high-quality care environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.
  • One or more years experience as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required.
  • ACLS Certification required for all listed areas with 90 days for new grads.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive nursing care.
  • Coordinate care across settings and caregivers to assure continuity.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Educate patients and families about health practices and treatment modalities.
  • Advocate for patients and participate in performance improvement and leadership activities.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse, provides age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintains a safe environment, educates patients and their families about healthy practices and treatment modalities, assures continuity of care, coordinates care across settings and among caregivers, manages information, communicates effectively, and utilizes technology. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and plan care (i.e. assessment, nurse diagnosis, planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation). Additional roles include advocacy, performance improvement, leadership, problem solving, delegation, conflict resolution, and team player.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required

  • A Bachelors of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred

  • One (1) or more years* experience as a Registered Nurse required

  • Specific area of specialty previous experience preferred

  • Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required

  • ACLS Certification required for all the following areas. New Graduates must obtain within 90 days of employment :
    All Critical Care
    Emergency Care Center (ECC)
    GI/Cath Laboratory
    Labor & Delivery
    All Intermediate Care
    Post Acute Care Unit (PACU)
