Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Radiation Oncology Division at the Ocala Cancer Center. The RN will assist physicians in patient care and education, ensure comprehensive documentation, and support patient services and triage by phone.

The role requires a Florida RN license, CPR and BLS within 30 days, and strong EMR and Microsoft Office skills. Experience in oncology is preferred and English communication must be excellent.

Qualifications

• A valid Florida RN license is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• BLS required within 30 days of employment (FCS provides course).
• Experience in radiation therapy preferred.
• Strong EMR skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent oral and written English communication and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients in the Radiation Oncology Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients. (Radiation Oncology Division) Customer Service/Patient Assistance System & Documentation Telephone Triage

QUALIFICATIONS

A valid Florida RN license is required. Current CPR certification are required. (AHA preferred) BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days). Experience in radiation therapy preferred. Experience with hematology/oncology /radiation oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is preferred. Ability to assess patient needs and condition is essential. Must have strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Fluency in the English language excellent oral, written communication AND computer skills is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required. Strong EMR skills needed.
