UVM Health - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital seeks a registered nurse for the R5 unit specializing in Oncology and End of Life care. You will collaborate with the palliative care team and handle symptom management, IV and oral chemo basics, and related care.
Training for chemo administration will be provided after the initial onboarding period. Full-time (36 hr/wk) night or day shifts, and part-time (24 hr/wk) day shifts are available.
R5 is a unit that specializes in Oncology and End of Life care. We work closely with our Palliative care team, whose office is located on R5. Oncology care ranges from symptom management, radiation, Chemo (IV and oral), medication side effects and Oncological Emergencies. When starting on R5 you will not be required to hang IV chemo for the first 6 months to one year. When you become comfortable with the R5 population we will train you in chemo administration. We currently have a Full Time (36hr/wk) Night Shift, Full Time (36hr/wk) Day Shift, and a Part Time (24hr/wk) Day Shift position available.
