Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice where care is delivered.
• Telehealth/virtual practice requires applicable state licensure.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nuring experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Applies the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and effective communication.
• Delivers medications and therapies per protocol where appropriate.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation and data entry.
• Possibly floats to other units to meet patient needs.
• Demonstrates growth through required education and certifications.
• Adheres to Ethics Codes and promotes unbiased patient care.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and assistive personnel.
