Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED, collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver timely, high-quality treatment.

The role requires Active RN licensure in North Carolina, ACLS/BLS within set timeframes, and NC-specific emergency nursing certifications. Join a supportive team focused on excellent patient experiences.

Additionally, we have 4 regular treatment rooms that can be converted into behavioral health rooms. We provide acute care to patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, ranging from chest pain and abdominal pain to broken bones and infections.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centred care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualised, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
