Job summary

Arbor Springs in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants in accordance with standards, ensuring high-quality care. You will work under Nursing Administration to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for residents.

Ideal candidates will have an Iowa RN license, supervisory experience, and a commitment to dignity and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Iowa.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must read and write legibly and understandably.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous supervisory capacity desirable.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and laws.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations desirable.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by LPNs and Nursing Assistants.
• Ensure highest quality of care in accordance with federal, state and local standards; follow directives from Nursing Services Director and Administration.
