Job summary

Arbor Springs West Des Moines is seeking a Dietary Assistant to support dining services in a Montessori-Inspired Living community. You will help residents get to and from meals and assist with mealtime comfort according to established dietary guidelines.

An ideal candidate communicates clearly in English, has a basic education, and shows a positive attitude toward the elderly while following site procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must speak and understand English.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents to and from dining room for meals and ensure mealtimes are pleasant and timely.
• Assist with dietary functions as directed and instructed in accordance with policies.

General Purpose

To provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and instructed in accordance with established federal, state and local dietary regulations, facility policies and procedures. To assist residents to and from dining room for meals and to make mealtime pleasant and timely.
