Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care within correctional facilities.

You will evaluate patients, plan and deliver nursing care, administer prescribed meds, and coordinate with practitioners and other services to ensure timely, accurate treatment.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of service.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered.
• Triage and coordinate intake screenings for necessity and priority.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Document care concisely and accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• May cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities.
