Job description

Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act.

Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of patients.

Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies to ensure proper care for individuals in crisis and safety for all patients.

Acts as an active team member by assisting staff and accepting additional assignments to fulfill patient care and unit responsibilities.

Administers medications with knowledge of action, administration modes, side effects, and contraindications.

Assumes the role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Training and Experience: Current RI nursing license.
• Special Qualifications: B.S.N preferred.
• Schedule: 36/72 Full Time Days - Every Other Weekend

Riverview 3 is an Adult Inpatient Intensive Treatment Unit.
