Teaching Hospital

Position Overview

Nurses for this unit should have Med Surg experience, as this floor primarily handles inpatients pre- or post-surgical services, with a focus on surgical cases.

Unit Details

4E candidates will care for postoperative patients, including those with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGTs, or DHTs. Some patients will require step-down care. Patient ratios are 5:1 or 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for the step-down area.

4W is our surgical transplant area, caring for both new and returning transplant patients. These patients require close monitoring for rejection, reaction, and infection.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, PCU
• Experience: 1 year
• Licenses: RN (Compact Accepted) - Copy needed
• Certifications: BLS-AHA - Copy needed
• SSN and DOB required
• References: 1 reference covering entire work history

Preferred Requirements

• BSN
• ENT and/or Transplant experience preferred
