Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking a Contract Nurse for night shift assignments in Massachusetts. The role requires Epic experience and the ability to titrate pressors. You will have guaranteed 72 hours biweekly, with Relias onboarding on day one.

Shifts are 12 hours with every other weekend (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun) and floating to ED, inpatient, PACU, and other units. Trauma experience is preferred; candidates must be separated from previous employer for at least 6 months.

Qualifications

• Epic experience is required.
• Must be able to titrate pressors.
• BLS-AHA certification required; ACLS-AHA and NIHSS preferred.
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred or required if no prior travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Floating to emergency department, inpatient units, PACU and other boarding units as needed.
• Handle patient ratios ranging between 1:3 and 1:5.
• Maintain 12-hour night shift coverage with every other weekend requirement.
• Complete Relias testing onboarding and on-day assessments.

Contract Nursing Position

Position Details

Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments – guaranteed hours exclude any on-call time worked.

Epic experience is required.

Candidates must be able to titrate pressors – please include this in your application.

Day one pass/fail testing will be conducted. Relias practice tests will be available through the Relias platform.

Every other weekend is required:

• Weekend day shifts: Saturday and Sunday
• Weekend night shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

BLS-AHA certification is required.

ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications are preferred.

Patient ratios will range between 1:3 and 1:5.

Floating to emergency department holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units is expected.

Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during shifts; while floating every 4 hours is uncommon, it is possible.

Weekly start dates are on Mondays.

Level 1 trauma experience is preferred; if no prior travel experience, Level 1 trauma experience is required.

Candidates must have been separated from the previous employer for a minimum of 6 months (including permanent, per diem, or contract roles).

Relias testing will be required during onboarding and on day one at the facility.
