Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Dallas area is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients in the NICU. You will apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license, BLS, and at least two years of NICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Communicates to the team, patients and families and ensures accurate and timely written documentation of patient information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely and timely as part of patient care.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for performance, growth, and development.

Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the

episode of care.

Other duties as assigned.
