Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to deliver highly professional and technical NICU care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will apply the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support the mission and goals of Methodist Health System. This role is PRN and requires strong clinical skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
• Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver direct and indirect patient care.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.

• Four (4) shifts per pay period
• Three (3) weekend shifts per quarter

Your Job

Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Your Job Requirements

• Work experience: Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience

Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the

episode of care.

Other duties as assigned.
