Job summary

Elevance Health's Paragon Infusion Centers in Smyrna, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to administer therapies, document in patient records, and ensure safety in an onsite setting.

Requires ASN/ADN with 2+ years of clinical experience and a current RN license (multi-state licensure preferred). Shifts are days, onsite, 1–3 days per week, travel to sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Requires a current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Multi-state licensure is required if providing services in multiple states.
• TB test and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties within the Nurse's scope of practice and facility protocols.
• Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber orders and policies.
• Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.
• Performs physical assessment on each patient and documents findings.
• References NP on duty for complete physical assessment when needed.
• Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record.

Registered Nurse (PRN) - Paragon Infusion Centers

Location : 1155 Concord Rd SE Ste 120, Smyrna, GA 30080

Shift: Days. 1-3 days per week as needed, 4-10 shifts per month. Clinic is open Monday- Friday.

Onsite: This role requires associates to work from the posted locations full-time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. This policy promotes an environment built on in-person interaction, communication, and immediate support.

How you will make an impact:

• Performs duties within the Nurse's scope of practice, the facility's policies/procedures, INS Standards of practice, and approved facility protocols.
• Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy and procedures.
• Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.
• Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis.
• Refer to the NP on duty for complete physical assessment as needed.
• Documents all pertinent data in the patient's medical record.
• Reports all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and is responsible for the follow up on any problem which is identified.
• Evaluates the patient's response to therapy and documents this finding in the medical record.
• Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
• Ensures that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment.
• Understands and adheres to all applicable state, local and Federal laws and / or regulations including maintaining patient confidentiality through abiding by HIPAA laws/regulations.
• May Travel to worksite and other locations, as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires an ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Requires a current unrestricted RN license in applicable state required.
• Multi-state licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states.
• For Paragon and Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• 2+ years of experience with IV.
• Port, PICC & Peripheral Line experienced.
• Medication Mixing experience.
• Titration experience preferred.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations for clinical coverage.
• BSN.
