Job summary

Mission Hospital in Morganton, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse PRN to join our on-site team. This role delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models to support excellent outcomes.

You will assess pain, document care, educate patients and families, and respond to requests with compassion while coordinating care and ensuring safety and quality at every step.

Qualifications

• RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in line with department standards.
• Advocates for patients/families/caregivers and supports organizational values.
• Follows nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
• Maintains timely, accurate documentation in the patient record.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team to ensure outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management with reassessments.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans, and follow-up steps.
• Teach self-management and lifestyle changes to support recovery.
