Job summary

Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation in Owensboro, KY is seeking compassionate LPNs and RNs for PRN shifts to join our team. You will work with a caring healthcare group to provide quality resident care and build relationships with patients.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and participating in discharge planning. Requirements: current LPN/RN license in Kentucky and at least one year in long-term care; MatrixCare knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/RN license in the state
• At least one year of LPN/RN experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers medications and records prescribed treatments
• Educates patients on surgical procedures
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment and interprets electronic displays
• Initiates corrective action when patients show adverse symptoms
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, and starts IVs
• Assists physician during examinations and treatments
• Responds to life-saving situations per nursing standards
• Participates in discharge planning
• Utilizes time management skills
• Records all care information concisely and accurately in the appropriate format
