We provide a wide range of walk-in, psychiatric, substance abuse, and crisis services to adults and children.About the RoleWe are seeking Registered Nurse's to provide the following services:This is a PRN positionAbility to work with individuals who experience symptoms of severe and persistent mental illness and substance abuse/dependence, including consumers with a co-occurring developmental disability.Considerable knowledge and skill in the application of theory, practices, principles, and techniques of the nursing profession; ability to understand, interpret and relate oral and written instructions; ability to explain medical instructions in consumer and their families/ some ability to organize and supervise the work of other professional and nonprofessional employees; considerable knowledge of the area of work and medications; ability to gain the confidence of patients and to work effectively with them.Assist consumers in gaining skills to address problems.Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team approach.Ability to set limits and maintain a helping role and to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of persons or families served.This description outlines the general scope and level of work for this role.
