Job summary

Hanover Endoscopy Center is seeking an As Needed (per-diem) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will work with physicians and the care team from patient prep through procedure completion in a focused outpatient setting.

You’ll coordinate nursing care, manage supplies, and educate patients while maintaining privacy and dignity. Prior procedural nursing and strong teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS required; ACLS certification is required (preferred/required).
• Endoscopy/procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Strong IV skills and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care throughout the endoscopy process.
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and workflow to support efficient case management.
• Verify patient identity and procedure prior to transport and participate in procedural time-outs.
• Prepare patients for procedures, review medical records, and communicate care needs with the healthcare team.
• Provide patient education, comfort, reassurance, and emotional support while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Assist with safe patient positioning and monitor patient condition throughout procedures.
• Handle, label, and log tissue specimens according to procedure.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and procedural activity.
• Support efficient room turnover and cost-effective use of supplies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of patient care.

Description

Hanover Endoscopy Center is seeking a As Needed (per-diem) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys procedural nursing, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering high‑quality patient experiences in a focused outpatient setting.

You’ll work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support the entire endoscopy process—from patient preparation through procedure completion.

What You’ll Do

• Provide and coordinate nursing care throughout the endoscopy process
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and workflow to support efficient case management
• Verify patient identity and procedure prior to transport and participate in procedural time‑outs
• Prepare patients for procedures, review medical records, and communicate care needs with the healthcare team
• Provide patient education, comfort, reassurance, and emotional support while maintaining privacy and dignity
• Assist with safe patient positioning and closely monitor patient condition throughout procedures
• Accurately interpret and carry out physician orders in accordance with policy
• Handle, label, and log tissue specimens correctly and according to procedure
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and procedural activity
• Support efficient room turnover and cost‑effective use of supplies
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of patient care
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• Prior experience in endoscopy, GI, PACU, OR, or procedural nursing preferred
• Strong IV and computer skills
