Job summary

Carolina Digestive Health Associates PA in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Part-time PRN Registered Nurse to provide safe, high‑quality care in pre‑ and post‑procedural settings. You will support patients through procedures, monitor responses, administer medications, take vital signs, and collaborate with a skilled GI team while adhering to infection control standards and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities through ongoing education.
  • Maintains accreditations, licensures, and designations in good standing.
  • Maintains compliance with laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice as RN in North Carolina or compact state.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures and treatments before and after endoscopic procedures to ensure understanding and comfort.
  • Administer medications and treatments using approved nursing techniques.
  • Observe patients, record significant conditions, and notify physicians of changes or reactions.
  • Take vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond to life‑saving situations following established protocols.

  • Communicate with patients and care teams throughout the continuum of care.
  • Ensure accurate and timely charting in accordance with legal and medical standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.

Education/ And Or Experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training

  • Completes all mandatory reviews/educational required and assigned.Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Is actively committed to meeting / exceeding employee expectations/satisfaction in the performance of job functions.
