Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the NICU (5A, private room, 32 beds) in Lexington, KY. The PRN daytime schedule supports high-risk neonates from 28 weeks gestation to term, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based care and family-centered education.

As a clinical nurse, you will coordinate direct patient care across the lifespan, conduct rounds, coordinate admissions/discharges, and develop individualized treatment plans while working in a unit that

Formación

• RN license or work permit in Kentucky
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an associate degree with 10+ years’ experience; if no bachelor’s, must enrol in a BSN within 12 months and achieve degree within 5 years
• Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia training as required by department

Registered Nurse – NICU

About the unit 5A NICU is a 32-bed private room NICU caring for High-Risk neonates from 28 weeks to full-term.

JOB SUMMARY

TheRegistered Nurse (RN)delivers compassionate, evidence-based care designed to support healing and wellness. In this role, you’ll coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care while creating an environment rooted in dignity, respect, and empathy. You will use your clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients across the lifespan.

As a clinical nurse , you’ll spend the majority of your time (>50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care through:

• Conducting nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
• Facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Providing patient and family-centered education
• Coordinating care and developing individualized treatment plans

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required.In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an associate degree in nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (Must obtain within 30 days of hire.)
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
