Job summary

Saint Luke's East in Lee's Summit is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. You will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing procedures including orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine.

The role is full-time day shift with on-call requirements; you will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience (KS/NURSYS) and MO NURSYS.
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatients and outpatients.
• Utilize the nursing process and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care and consult with the health care team when indicated.

Job Description The Opportunity

Saint Luke's East in Lee's Summit is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing various procedures including; but not limited to orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine.

Shift Details

FT- Days. This position does take call with a 30 minute callback response time.

The Work

Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures. Utilizes the nursing process. Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and supervising other patient care staff. Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience: 1 year Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) Associate Degree.
