Job summary

Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing various procedures, including ortho, joints, GYN, urology, plastics, and general surgery. This is a full-time, day shift with on-call requirements and a 30-minute callback.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of RN experience, holds an Associate Degree, and is MO/KS-licensed per NURSYS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required (KS/MONURSYS).
• MO/KS RN licensure per NURSYS required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilize the nursing process to plan and deliver care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to other patient care staff as needed.
• Coordinate the care plan for a group of patients and consult with the health care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to policies, rules, and procedures and maintain professional proficiency.
