Job summary

Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. You will provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing a variety of procedures including orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and spine.

The shift is Full Time, Day, with 30 minutes callback. This collaborative team prioritizes patient experience and supports each other to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of applicable experience in perianesthesia or related area.
• Registered Nurse with KS Nursys licensure (and MO licensure if applicable).
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilizesthe nursing process
• Performspatient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
• Coordinatesthe plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstratesproficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures

Shift Details

FT- Days. This position does take call with a 30 minute callback response time.
