CoxHealth is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse to develop and implement nursing care plans and administer care to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. The role includes telephone advice, scheduling, and coordinating medical records and referrals.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and at least 6 months of RN experience or equivalent MA/LPN outpatient experience, along with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program.
• At least 6 months of RN experience OR prior experience as MA or LPN in outpatient ambulatory clinic setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and with teams; proficient computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Give telephone health advice to patients under provider direction.
• Schedule appointments, send/request medical records, and process prior authorizations and referrals.
• Take and record vital signs and medical histories, prepare patients for examination, collect samples, perform tests, and administer medications and immunizations.

Job Description

• A Clinic Registered Nurse develops and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Give telephone advice to patients on health concerns and disease prevention under the direction of providers.
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, sending and requesting medical records, and completing prior authorizations and referral requests.
• Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, collecting laboratory samples and performing tests, administering medications and immunizations.

Education

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program

Experience

• Required: 6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
• Exhibits ability to manage time and prioritize work.
• Proficient Computer skills.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri
