Job Description

To act as a patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the facility. The Staff Nurse will assess the needs of individual patients, including but not limited to adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • License as a registered nurse in the state where the facility is located
  • Minimum of three years of work experience as a nurse
  • BLS/ACLS/PALC certification
Essential Functions
  • Performs assessment and data collection systematically, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status
  • Formulates goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes
  • Implements care competently to achieve desired patient outcomes
  • Establishes care priorities based on patient needs and available resources
  • Responds efficiently in emergency situations following protocols, maintaining composure and documenting events
  • Demonstrates knowledge in surgical patient care, pain assessment, pharmaceuticals, laboratory values, safety, legal issues, and emergency equipment
  • Practices effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Documents accurately and timely in patient records
  • Works collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
  • Maintains CPR/ACLS certification
  • Attends mandatory training and staff meetings
  • Adapts flexibly to new ideas and approaches
  • Adheres to Patient Rights policy, treating all patients equally
  • Follows physician orders professionally
  • Willing to assist with additional duties as needed
Physical Demands

The physical demands include sitting, conversing, listening, handling objects, reaching, and specific vision abilities. Must be able to lift over 20 pounds, push/pull over 25 pounds, and stand or walk for at least 10 hours daily. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
