To act as a patient advocate, providing continuity of care tailored to individual patient needs through collaboration with the healthcare team and supporting the facility's philosophy, objectives, and goals. The Staff Nurse will assess the needs of patients, including adults, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of the facility
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience
  • BLS/ACLS/PALC certification

Essential Functions

  • Conducts ongoing, systematic assessments of physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status
  • Develops goal-oriented care plans based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes
  • Implements care effectively to achieve desired outcomes
  • Prioritizes patient care based on needs and available resources
  • Responds efficiently in emergencies, following protocols and documenting events
  • Demonstrates knowledge in surgical care, pain management, pharmaceuticals, safety, and legal issues
  • Uses problem-solving skills for decision making
  • Documents care accurately and promptly
  • Collaborates with team members in patient care
  • Maintains CPR/ACLS certification
  • Attends mandatory training and staff meetings
  • Adapts to new ideas and approaches
  • Treats all patients equally, respecting Patient Rights
  • Follows physician orders professionally
  • Willing to assist with additional duties as needed

Physical Demands

Requirements include sitting, talking, listening, handling objects, reaching, and vision abilities such as close focus. Must be able to lift over 20 pounds, push/pull over 25 pounds, and stand/walk for at least 10 hours daily.
