Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is hiring a Registered Nurse for Pre + Post Op duties in Louisville, KY. This full-time, in-person role supports pediatric patients undergoing dental restorative and exodontia procedures under general anesthesia.

The successful candidate will have an RN license, BLS, and ideally ACLS/PALS within 60 days of hire, plus a nursing degree from an accredited program. Join a mission-driven team focused on safety, quality, and accessible care.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• ACLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a nursing degree from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific perioperative care for pediatric patients.
• Coordinate planning, assessment, and delegation in the OR and pre/post-op areas.
• Collaborate with dentists, anesthesiologists, and care teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Communicate with families and staff to support efficient perioperative flow.

YOU WILL

• Demonstrate knowledge of age specific care for pediatric, adolescence patient populations.
• Possess organizational skills, which include prioritization, planning, assessing, implementing, evaluation, teaching, and delegating.

• Ability to listen and confer with personnel, practitioners, patients, parents and the public.

• Clear and detailed knowledge of safety, patient rights, infection control, risk management, equipment usage, and OR standards

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Current Kentucky State Nursing License
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the operating room as a circulator and scrub nurse
