Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate registered nurses to join our Fort Wayne team. You will deliver and coordinate evidence-based care across the care continuum, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role supports professional growth and adherence to ANA standards while participating in teaching and mentoring colleagues. Relocation incentives and a $30,000 sign-on bonus are available for eligible positions; various shifts

Qualifications

• Requires an ASN; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or an NLC RN license.
• BLS certification through the AHA required; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: candidates with >2 years acute care experience may be considered subject to CNO review.

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Qualifications:

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
