Job summary

St. Francis Ambulatory Surgery Center in Midlothian, VA, seeks a Registered Nurse to support pre‑op, PACU and stepdown care.

You will assess patients, deliver individualized nursing care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes. Requirements include RN program graduate, current RN license, at least 1 year perioperative experience, and BLS with ACLS planned within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license (unencumbered).
• At least 1 year of pre‑op/PACU nursing experience (within last 3–5 years).
• Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery.
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients.

St. Francis Ambulatory Surgery Center is an ASC located in Midlothian, VA. With two operating rooms and one procedure room, the center will provide high-quality, cost-effective outpatient surgical care across multiple specialties.

Owned and operated in partnership with BSMH and Compass Surgical Partners (an ASC management organization), the center will combine advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care in a convenient outpatient setting.

Role Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.
